Our journey began when lead singer/acoustic guitar player, Roland Cote joined Winnipeg rock band Pushing Daisies, who subequently recorded 3 records. Accolades include a tour with The Guess Who, writing and performing the official 2006 Grey Cup song to 50,000 attendees, and landing multiple tv and film placements.

Time went on, and the band went country (adding Roland's wife Julie Cote as co-vocalist) under several band names (hot stone road/big city filter), going 3 rounds on Canada's got talent, recording with producer/mixing engineer Richard Chycki (Aerosmith, Pink, Rush), as well as tv advertising placements.

The country band eventually broke up after many disappointments in the industry, leaving Roland & Julie to continue on as Big City Filter.

During this time, their daughter, Angelique was developing as a songwriter/artist releasing one song titled your drug at 17 years of age.

Then, a spiritual awakening began giving birth to One Stone Kingdom, bringing together 3 unique, yet complimentary vocal styles in Roland, Julie and Angelique.

"The whole thing just came together organically, and without even thinking" claims singer Julie Cote.

Singer/acoustic guitarist, Roland Cote adds, "Just in December 2023 alone, we were gifted 6 songs with so much ease that I just knew that this was where we needed to focus our energies".
